Spiced Green Beans

All green beans are not created equal. When it comes to a scrumptious side that's chock full of flavor, veg out with this dynamic dish that's both healthy and hearty. Serves 4 Ingredients 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 cup water 1 tbsp.vegetable oil 1 tsp. ground allspice Salt and pepper to taste Methods/steps Heat vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir garlic until lightly browned. Add in green beans and water, and bring to a boil. Mix in allspice, salt, and pepper. Cover, and simmer 20 minutes, until green beans are soft.
