Slow-Cooker Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 2 envelopes of sloppy joe mix
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 12 hamburger buns, split

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook beef, pepper, and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, 8-10 minutes, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in ketchup, sloppy joe mix, brown sugar, and mustard.
  2. Transfer to a 3-qt.Slow cooker. Cover and cook on low until flavors are blended, 4-5 hours. Serve on buns.
