Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen pizza dough, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 8 ounces bulk spicy pork sausage, cooked and drained
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • Optional: Minced fresh basil, red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°. Place a 10-inch Dutch oven on the bottom rack in the oven to heat through, 2-3 minutes.
  2. Roll dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Fold an 18-in. piece of foil lengthwise into thirds, making a sling. Remove pan from oven; place dough on sling and gently lower dough into the pan. Using a wooden spoon, move the dough into place and up the sides, leaving the sling in the pan. Brush dough with oil; spread with marinara sauce. Top evenly with cheese, sausage, onion, and mushrooms.
  3. Bake until crust is lightly browned and crisp, about 20 minutes. Cool slightly. Using a sling, remove from the Dutch oven. As desired, serve with basil, red pepper flakes, and grated Parmesan cheese.
